some people are so friendly...

2,400 miles is a little to long to ride in a car with a stranger, in my opinion. But then I'm not retired, in my 70's,from NYC, with cats and (presumably) lots of extra money. Perhaps if I were these people, it's seem like more of an adventure.

Betty and Bob Matas, a retired couple, decided to move from NYC to Arizona, and didn't want to ride on a plane, for the benefit of their cats. They couldn't drive either, like many New Yorkers. So they decided to pay a random cabbie--the lucky Douglas Guldeniz--they met one afternoon $3000 dollars to take them and their cats to Arizona.

I don't really have much to say about this--other than I hope I can be that spontaneous when I'm 70.
